Perfect run & Pasta prep

After work today I was planning on going for a run. Lucky for me my dad had the same plan. While I was on my way up the stairs to get a pair of socks, he was walking down the stairs to put on his running shoes. Long story short, we decited to run together. It was grey and a little windy outside, but it was 10 degrees celsius (50 fahrenheit) so it was still perfect weather in my mind. We did a 10,45 km run in 1:05:35. And we honestly did the most amazingly paced kms I could ever imagine! 5 km in 30:54, 10 km in 1 hour and 2 minutes. How even is that?! It’s almost perfectly even. Haha yes, stuff like that makes me very happy. I’m glad I finally got to run with my dad again – I don’t think we’ve been out for a run together since last summer in New York. He was impressed by how much my running has improved since then so that was pretty nice too.

This week I learned how important meal prepping actually is to me. I didn’t prep any meals last weekend because I forgot to buy frozen veggies. So my diet this week has been so random, messed up and not ideal what so ever, and for me it’s extremely important to eat a certain way. No surprise this has been messing with both my mood and my energy the whole week.. Never again. After our run today I prepped dinners for Monday to Friday. This week I’m having whole grain pasta penne, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot and peas. I’ve missed pasta like a crazy person, I need to prep meals more often with pasta. Tomorrow I’m going to make my protein waffle lunches. I’m sure this week is going to be great!
