Run, fun, food

Once again I’m behind with my blogging for the week. Sorry about that. On the other hand, not that much exciting stuff has been happening so I guess it’s not the end of the world, haha. I feel like I’ve been slacking with everything this week, but in my defense I haven’t been feeling a 100%. Next week will be better on all aspects though! I also have a couple exciting things I really want to write about, but I’ll do that in another post.
treadmill tuesday
On Tuesday I did a 40 min run with my mom on the treadmill. I wasn’t feeling too great, so it wasn’t a very hard workout, but at least I got through it. Slow runs are okay too. No need to push yourself too hard if you feel like you’re about to get sick. Wednesday was all about rest, rest, rest, and make sure I didn’t get any worse.
On Thursday we went to the gym again. I was feeling a lot better so we ended doing some sort of intervals, or maybe I should just call it “playing with speed”. We ended up running for 50 minutes, and it was great. On Friday I didn’t workout, but my dad went to Africa and if he reads this I just want to say: I hope you’re having a great time! Good luck on Kilimanjaro, and have fun on the safari!
meal prep and treadmill
Today we ran for 50 minutes again. It was okay, my breathing was bad so it kind of ruined things for me, but other than that it was great. Don’t you just hate when people wear too much perfume? Especially when they’re at the gym.. Yea, my nose is sensitive to that stuff, please stop. I don’t bring my cat, so why do you bring your cheap perfume? No need for that, sweetie. After the gym I threw together my dinners for the week – I’ll do the lunches tomorrow.
dinner menu for the week
That’s my dinner menu for the week. I’m so obsessed with meal prepping, I absolutely love it! Don’t think I’ll stop prepping any time soon.

How has your week been?
What are you having for dinner this week?

  1. Fun that your dad is in Africa – hope he has a great time!!
I didn’t do much meal planning for this week – never a good idea but just how things worked out this weekend.

  2. Wow, what a gorgeous sunset (sunrise?)! Such pretty colors.

I’m sorry you’ve been feeling under the weather. I hope it passes soon!

  3. Oh how cool that your dad is going on a safari in Africa! I bet that will be such an amazing experience for him.

I second what Ali said, really pretty sunrise/sunset picture!

  4. Is he climbing Kilimanjaro? (Guest interview, please!!)
Good job about getting the workouts done on a treadmill–you are lucky to have your mom to run with!
I hope you are feeling better.
Meal prep–where to begin. With a family of 5, I feel like I am always thinking about the next meal! Most of the time I enjoy it. I have to get better about getting everything I need at the grocery store for a whole week…
    Great picture!

      Yes, he is 🙂
Thank you. Yes, I’m really blessed 😀
I never think about how hard meal prepping or planning must be when you’re doing it for more people than 1..
      Thank you 🙂

  5. “I don’t bring my cat” hahah. Love it. too funny. and truee. At my work, theres this guy that comes in and wears soo much cologne that we have to air out the area. It’s crazy. Spray it don’t bathe in it.
and I’m so jealous of your runs and healthyness. way to go girl.!!

    • Haha 😀 Why do people do that?! Is it because they don’t have access to a shower and think the perfume/cologne will hide the fact that they smell like dirty gym socks, or is it simply because they can’t smell it? Either way: take a shower xD
      Thank you! 😀 <3

  6. “i don’t bring my cat” haha. too funny. and veryy true. This guy that comes into my work wears so much cologne that we have to air out the place after he leaves. It’s crazy.
I’m so jealous of your running and healthy eating.! Way to go girl. 🙂

  7. Haha, talk about being behind with the blogging and all.. I don’t have any time anymore! It was just a shot of luck that I had the time to write a letter to you! I hope you got it by the way!

I don’t understand how you became so good at mealprepping. I have tried now the last two week to just plan the dinner, not actually prep it, and I think that’s hard enough haha!

Omg, I hope you’re dad is having the time of his life! If I knew this any sooner, I would have packed myself in the suitcase 😀

    Miss you!

Ps: I don’t know what I will have for dinner. Awesome planner, that’s me.

    • Hahaha! 😀 Yess, I got your letter <3 And hopefully you'll get the letter and present from me today (your dad is bringing it, SURPRISE!!!) 😀 I hope you have some time to do that post about where you live, and hopefully something about your birthday, soon 😀
Me neither HAHAHA! Now that I'm sick and can't run I'll probably write some stuff about meal prepping, maybe that can help you 😀 Stay tuned 😉
I bet he is! 😀 They're done with Kilimanjaro now, this week it's safari time! 🙂
      Miss you too!

  8. You are getting your miles in quite speedy on the treadmill 🙂
I hate any strong smell like that, it just kind of coats you!
You are doing great with your meal planning, very healthy 🙂 Is your mom vegetarian too? I am vegetarian for the past twenty years or so, but I have in the past year started eating tuna and I had tilipia a few times now. It was hard at first and some days it doesn’t seem appealing, but the doctor wanted me to try so I have.
    I love your sunset picture.

    • Thank you! 😀 No, I’m the only vegetarian in my family. 20 years, wow, that is pretty cool! 😀 I’ve been a vegetarian for about 13 years now 😀 I really hope my doctor never tells me I should start eating meat again..
      Thank you 🙂
